Honeywell has signed an agreement at EBACE 2016 with HAITEC Aircraft Maintenance to supply a range of avionics products to the company’s VIP, large-cabin aircraft operators.

The contract allows HAITEC, based in Germany, to offer Honeywell’s range of cabin and cockpit solutions to new and retrofit Airbus Corporate Jets, Boeing Business Jets and Gulfstream G550/G650 jets from its Erfurt facility.

Under the agreement, HAITEC customers will benefit from Honeywell technologies including IntuVue 3-D Weather Radar and the SmartTraffic Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS).

Honeywell will also provide its Ovation Select Cabin Management System, which puts lighting, seat, temperature and galley controls at the fingertips of business jet travelers while enabling them to stay comfortable at 40,000 feet.

Brian Sill, president of Commercial Aviation at Honeywell Aerospace said: “As the global business jet market continues to face sluggish growth, many operators are investing in strategic retrofits and upgrades for their existing fleets, fueling aftermarket opportunities.”

“For maintenance firms like HAITEC, providing access to Honeywell’s broad range of cockpit and cabin solutions gives customers the opportunity to balance business growth with offering an improved passenger experience,” added Sill.

“This agreement signifies the next step in our relationship with Honeywell, enabling us to further expand our services from the commercial aviation market to our business jet customers,” said Frank Rott, CEO, HAITEC. “As operators look to modernize their fleets, they can have access to the latest in avionics technology, helping pilots to improve the flying experience and meeting growing passenger expectations in the cabin.”
