Gulfstream appoints Edgar Orsi as general manager at Sorocaba
Edgar Orsi is appointed as the new general manager at the Gulfstream service centre in Sorocaba, Brazil.
Gulfstream Aerospace has appointed Edgar Orsi as the general manager of Gulfstream
Brazil, its recently opened
service centre in Sorocaba.
Orsi reports to Joseph Rivera, director, International Operations, Gulfstream.
Most recently, Orsi spent
seven years in São Paulo as South
America aftermarket sales manager for Honeywell, selling avionics
and mechanical systems and services to business and general aviation operators.
“Edgar’s knowledge of the
Latin American business aviation market and his relationships within it are
tremendous resources for our operators,” said Mark Burns, president, product support,
Gulfstream. “They’ll surely benefit from his in-depth avionics background as
well as his familiarity with the Brazilian culture. With Edgar at the helm,
we’ll continue to provide the top level service our customers have come to
expect from our Sorocaba
facility.”
Orsi earned bachelor’s
degrees in business administration and electrical/electronic engineering from
São Paulo-based Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie and Escola de Engenharia Maua, respectively. A
native of Brazil,
he is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English.
