Deliveries of Gulfstream business jets slipped by 16% in the first half of 2017, when compared to the same period of 2016.

Overall the company delivered 30 aircraft, six aircraft less than the 36 deliveries in 2016.

Mid-cabin deliveries matched 2016s seven aircraft, but large cabin deliveries dropped from 29 to 23 aircraft.

Although Gulfstream doesn’t give guidance on the aircraft models delivered, the slow down is likely to be a lower amount of G450 deliveries. Both aircraft will soon be replaced, with the G550 due to begin deliveries later in the year.

Gulfstream are planning on a single G500 delivery in 2017. During parent company General Dynamics first half earning conference call, company CEO Phebe Novakovic said that this will be the first demonstrator aircraft, and have no impact on revenue for the year.

Orders during the first half of the year remained strong, particularly for the G650 and G650ER, which saw the highest number of orders for the last year and a half.
