FSI promotes Dr Nidal Sammur

Sammur promoted to director of engineering at FSI Broken Arrow in Oklahoma

Dr Nidal SammurFlightSafety
International announced that Dr. Nidal Sammur has been promoted to director of
engineering at the Broken Arrow,
Oklahoma facility.

“Nidal has
made many significant contributions to the design, manufacture and support of
FlightSafety’s advanced technology flight simulation equipment over the past
twenty years,” said Rick Armstrong, vice president, Simulation. “His experience
and expertise in engineering and his leadership skills and in-depth
understanding of Customer requirements made him the ideal person to assume this
important role. With the help of over 300 highly skilled engineers under his
direction, Nidal’s responsibility is to strengthen and support FlightSafety’s
position as an industry leader in cutting edge simulation technology.”

He replaces
Ron Jantzen who retired from the company in December 2011. “We thank Ron on
behalf of all FlightSafety Teammates for his service, leadership and dedication
to excellence,” said Rick Armstrong.

Nidal joined
FlightSafety in 1992 at the Broken
Arrow facility and has held a number of positions of
increasing responsibility in engineering since then. He most recently served as
staff scientist.

He graduated
from the University of Tulsa with a Bachelor of Science and a Master of
Science in Electrical Engineering and holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer
Engineering from Oklahoma
State University.
