flyExclusive secures $30m grant for pilot training centre, MRO expansion
The announcement is the latest in a series of expansions by flyExclusive in 2026.
flyExclusive has secured a $30m state grant from North Carolina to expand its maintenance operations and build a new pilot training facility at the North Carolina Global TransPark in Kinston, where the company is already headquartered.
The investment authorised under Senate Bill 257 was signed into law on July 7, 2026. The North Carolina Global TransPark Authority will own the facility, with flyExclusive operating it under a long-term lease alongside significant private co-investment.
The pilot training centre will allow flyExclusive to bring in-house more than $5m per year currently spent with out-of-state training providers, along with more than 8,000 hotel room nights annually associated with pilot training.
Flight simulators to be installed at the facility are each valued at approximately $12m. The expanded MRO facilities will include paint, avionics and refurbishment capabilities, targeting a larger share of the company’s more than $75m in annual maintenance spend, currently mostly paid to out-of-state providers.

The announcement is the latest in a series of expansions by flyExclusive in 2026.
The company recently opened a corporate office in Raleigh to access a broader talent pool for sales, technology and operations roles.
