FAI Rent-A-Jet Learjet 60

Germany-based general aviation and air ambulance specialist operator FAI rent-a-jet has announced the induction of an eighth Learjet 60 (S/N 281) into its fleet.

The aircraft, which is wholly owned by the company, replaces the last Learjet 35A in the FAI portfolio.

Learjet 60 models will also replace the four remaining Learjet 55 aircraft in the fleet over the next twelve months.

This latest aircraft was configured as an air ambulance by FAI Technik. It is available for charter immediately and like the rest of the FAI air ambulance fleet – consisting of four Learjets and four Challenger 604s.

Siegfried Axtmann, founder and chairman of FAI said: “We selected the Learjet and Challengers for our air ambulance fleet as they fulfill the specific requirements needed for long range patient transport.”

“Keeping the company owned fleet at just three types of aircraft (three Global Express, four Challenger 604 and 14 Learjet 60), should also deliver significant savings in terms of pilot training, maintenance and parts-stock and consequently increase FAI´s profitability further,” Axtmann added.
