ExecuJet MRO South Africa renews US FAA, African approvals
Dassault Aviation subsidiary ExecuJet MRO Services South Africa said it has successfully renewed its approvals from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as well as multiple African civil aviation authorities.
The renewed certifications cover approvals from the aviation authorities of Angola, Botswana, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa and Zambia, representing the widest network of regulatory accreditations held by any MRO in Africa.
ExecuJet’s facility at Johannesburg’s Lanseria International Airport underwent the regulatory audits, assessing maintenance record traceability, engineering qualifications and certifications, and quality control systems to ensure full compliance with international standards.
“Maintaining these approvals is more than a compliance requirement. It demonstrates our technical capability and the trust we have earned from regulators across Africa,” says Vince Goncalves, regional vice president Africa at ExecuJet MRO Services.
Africa’s business aviation market is expanding rapidly, with more than 400 business aircraft now in operation.
“We are witnessing notable growth with new aircraft entering service, and international charter operators positioning fleets in the region to meet rising demand. This underscores the continent’s growing importance in the global business aviation landscape,” adds Goncalves.
As part of its ongoing capability expansion, ExecuJet MRO Services South Africa is also securing approval for its newly installed in-house spray booth, enabling touch-up paintwork on aircraft components up to 1.5 metres in size.
ExecuJet MRO Services South Africa remains the largest business aviation MRO in Africa, with hangar capacity to accommodate up to 14 aircraft of varying sizes.
