Embraer delivers 99 executive jets in 2011
Embraer delivered 50 business jets during the fourth quarter of 2011, thus closing out the year with 99 deliveries of executive jets.
The company delivered 105 commercial airliners during the year,
therefore Embraer delivered 204 new aircraft during the year in total.
Highlight of
the year for the business aircraft segment was the announcement of the sale of
13 Legacy 650 executive jets to Minsheng Financial Leasing, in China and the
appointment of Jackie Chan as its brand ambassador.
In the last
month the company rolled out the newest aircraft in the Legacy family, the Legacy
500 and will have already begun ground testing.
In December in
the United States, Embraer
opened the new global customer centre in Florida
and celebrated the delivery of the first Phenom 100 executive jet produced in
the United States
to Executive AirShare.
