Embraer Executive Jet deliveries soar in Q3

Embraer’s corporate jet deliveries soared by 22% year-over-year in the third quarter of 2023, with 28 jets delivered compared with 23 in the same period last year.

The bulk of Embraer’s corporate jet deliveries in the third quarter consisted of Phenom 300s, with 17 units delivered. The Phenom 300 is a light business jet that is popular among both corporate and private customers.

Embraer also delivered two Phenom 100s, four Praetor 500s, and five Praetor 600s in the third quarter. The Phenom 100 is a very light business jet that is designed specially for short-haul flights. The Praetor 500 and Praetor 600 are midsize business jets that offer transatlantic range.

Embraer’s executive aviation backlog stood at $4.3bn at the end of the third quarter, with a book-to-bill ratio of 1.5. This indicates that Embraer has a strong pipeline of future orders for its corporate jets.

In August 2023, the Phenom 300 series became the most-flown business jet in the US , surpassing 2m flight hours, the company said in its quarterly deliverables and backlog release.

Earlier this month, Embraer also announced the Phenom 100EX at the NBAA in Las Vegas. The Phenom 100EX is an enhanced version of the Phenom 100 that features a number of improvements, including a superior cabin comfort, operational

The tests, with one engine running on 100% SAF, were performed at Embraer’s Melbourne, US facility. The results of the tests will be used to develop a certification process for SAF use in Embraer aircraft.

So far in 2023, Embraer has delivered 105 jets, 66 of which have been executive aviation jets.
