Embraer business jet deliveries to be flat in 2014

Embraer is forecasting that it will deliver a similar number of private jets in 2014 to the record-breaking total delivered in 2013.

Embraer has advised investors that the company is planning on delivering a similar number of business jets throughout to the record-breaking total delivered in 2013.

The 119 private jets delivered in 2013 represented a 17 per cent rise on the 99 business jet that Embraer delivered in 2012, with the fourth quarter alone seeing 53 new aircraft shipped.

Last year saw a 90/29 split between light jets and large cabin jets, with Embraer expecting to deliver between 80-90 light jets and 25-30 large jets in 2014.

However, all eyes this year will be on Legacy 500, as Embraer continues to push through certification, with an expected entry into service during the first half of the year, almost 18 months past the original estimate.
