EC145 T2 tests continue

The Eurocopter EC145 T2
helicopter has performed better than expected in flight tests in 2011.

Following the flight tests
in the United States, the
EC145 T2 moved to Grand Prairie,
Texas for the next steps in the
flight tests. The prototype aircraft was the main attraction during a customer
held event held at Grand Prairie
in late October.

Many customers were able to
get up close to the prototype and saw the helicopter perform a demonstration
flight

The flight performance data
for the EC145 T2 should be released during the first half of 2012.

The next step of the
certification process took place at the end of 2011 when the EC145 T2 traveled
to Canada
for its cold weather flight test campaign. The helicopter should be certified
in 2013.
