Down-Route is launching its free expense management and hotel booking platform into the US market this week.

The UK company is using the NBAA show in Las Vegas to demonstrate how its web portal and mobile crew app, aimed specifically at the business aviation sector, combine real time expense management and low-price hotel booking functions to save customers money.

Down-Route has signed up more than 120 European aircraft operators and FBOs since it started in the middle of 2016. And it hopes to generate the same level of interest in the US.

CEO Andy Hudson said: “Following the tremendous response we have received in Europe, it is clear that the need for the unique capability that Down-Route has will be very much in demand in the USA. In addition to demonstrating clear money and time saving benefits through the use of the technology, the platform is free to use, providing further efficiencies.

“We often get asked by customers what the catch is with Down-Route offering such a ground-breaking product without charge. We will be taking this opportunity to show how, even by maintaining very competitive hotel prices, we have the ability to provide our entire system to business aviation companies at no cost to them.”

Down-Route has offices in the UK and Singapore, and a development facility in Colorado.
