Lufthansa Technik orders a Cair system from CTT Systems that will be installed in the new Boeing 747-8 VIP aircraft.

Lufthansa
Technik has ordered a CTT Cair System that will be installed in a Boeing 747-8
VIP aircraft. The aircraft was delivered to Lufthansa Technik in Hamburg earlier this
week.

“The
BBJ747-8 is the latest and largest aircraft that Boeing has built for VIP
configuration. To get additional orders of the Cair System for this type of aircraft
is a huge success for CTT. We are delighted to continue to work with Lufthansa
Technik on this new aircraft” said Peter Landquist, vice president sales &
marketing of CTT Systems.

The
Cair system is focused on the passengers’ health and comfort by providing
humidification of the extremely dry aircraft cabins without causing
condensation. Cair gives a pleasant relative humidity of around 20%, compared
to 3-5% without, for the passengers, thereby reducing dry air related problems such fatigue, jet-lag, red eyes and dry skin.

The
system is based on evaporative cooling technology and uses a method that
effectively precludes the transfer of bacteria within the aircraft. The
dual-purpose system increases humidity for greater comfort and incorporates the
Zonal Drying System to counter condensation problems.

CTT
Systems has received orders for five humidifier systems, all of these air
systems will be fitted to five of the nine heads of state Boeing 747-8 VIP
aircraft, that have so far been ordered.
