Comlux, the business-aircraft completions and charter specialist, has taken delivery of its first Airbus ACJ320neo from an order for three aircraft.

The new aircraft was delivered from the airframer’s Toulouse facility on March 25, 2019.

Registered as 9H-NEW / MSN 8638, the aircraft flew directly to the Comlux completions facility in Indianapolis, where it will be fitted with its executive interior.

“The new ACJ320neo gives us the means to deliver nonstop flights to even more of the world,” said Richard Gaona, Comlux’s chairman and CEO. “CFM International has supported Comlux over the years, and we have chosen its new, fuel-efficient and highly reliable LEAP-1A engines to power the aircraft. Comlux Completion will install a unique VIP cabin interior, using the most advanced technologies to offer the best comfort and luxury to our customer.”

Comlux is the largest customer for the ACJ320neo family of aircraft. Airbus says that it has 11 orders for the family of aircraft.

Based on the Airbus A320neo family of commercial airliners, the ACJ version takes the basic ACJ320neo and converts it into a private jet.

As well as a VIP interior, the ACJ320neo includes additional fuel tanks that give the aircraft more range that its commercial counterpart.

“Airbus corporate jets already have a reputation for comfort, reliability and value, already enjoy similar operating costs to traditional business jets through their airliner heritage, and are now even more economical in their NEO versions,” says Benoit Defforge , president, Airbus Corporate Jets.
