Cessna selects UTC Aerospace for Citation Longitude braking system

UTC Aerospace to provide wheels, brakes and an integrated brake control system for the Citation Longitude business jet.

UTC Aerospace Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp, has been selected by Cessna to supply the wheels, brakes and an integrated brake control system for Cessna’s newest business jet, the Citation Longitude.

The products, delivered under the Goodrich brand, include an integrated braking system consisting of the main and nose wheels, carbon brakes, a digital brake-by-wire control system and a tire pressure monitoring system. The carbon brakes use proprietary DURACARB carbon heat sink material, proven in service on more than 2,300 aircraft world-wide.
