Biggin Hill appoints Robert Walters to board of directors

Robert Walters, the business development manager at London Biggin Hill, has been appointed to the board of directors of the airport.
Robert Walters has been appointed to the board of directors at Biggin Hill Airport. Walters will continue to lead the sales and marketing team and will also manage a new customer service role that has been formed to integrate the executive handling unit with related passenger and terminal services.
Walter’s business career started in 1998 with Wellmarine, a Lloyds of London broker where he joined the Marine and Aviation Reinsurance section.
During his seven year tenure as business development manager at the airport, he has attracted a customer base with a global reach. Walters has become well known internationally through representing Biggin Hill at NBAA, EBACE and other industry events.
Walters was responsible for planning and managing the higher levels of customer service required for the London Olympic Games in 2012 and handles all contractual arrangements for the new terminal hangar and associated office suites.
Airport chairman Andrew Walters said: “Robert has made a great contribution to the development of our business and his knowledge and enthusiasm for this specialist sector of civil aviation is boundless.”
