AviaAM Leasing has delivered a Boeing 737 business jet to KlasJet. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-500 was acquired in November 2016.

The 737 was previously operated in passenger configuration by Continental Airlines. The five month modification project was completed by FL Technics.

“We have been aiming to supplement our diverse fleet with a large business jet suitable for professional sports teams, business travellers and government officials for a while now.”

Tadas Goberis, chairman of the board and CEO of AviaAM Leasing said: “We have been aiming to supplement our diverse fleet with a large business jet suitable for professional sports teams, business travellers and government officials for a while now. Having acquired the Boeing 737 in a condition favorable for such modification, we entrusted FL Technics with the challenging project execution and the end result is more than we could’ve expected.”

Romualdas Legetavicius, technical director of AviaAM Leasing added: “This project was extremely complex due to an extensive number of technical changes the aircraft had to undergo. The modification involved fundamental interior design changes including seat refurbishment, seating configuration changes – from 126 economy to 56 business class leather covered seats, and introduction of new LOPA’s. Additionally, aircraft received luxurious new livery, exquisite wooden design elements and brand new carpet cover together with white cold lightning were installed.”

The Boeing 737 received an EASA supplemental type certificate and airworthiness certificate from the Lithuanian CAA. The aircraft is available for charter and is expected to be used by large groups and sports teams.
