AMS Aircraft the UK aircraft remarketing, technical management and aviation consultancy headquartered has been certified as an approved Continuing Airworthiness Maintenance Organization (CAMO).

The UK Civil Aviation Authority has approved AMS Aircraft to offer CAMO services on 17 Airbus and Boing aircraft including all Airbus Corporate Jets and Boeing Business Jets.

“Our new CAMO capabilities not only expand the range of technical management services we can offer to airlines, lessors, banks and investors but also put AMS in a unique position among the traditional aircraft remarketing companies,” said Mike Skinner, Chief Executive of AMS. “It has been a challenge but we recognised at the start of the CAMO approval process that its successful achievement would require a significant investment in personnel, appropriate office accommodation, new and upgraded software programmes, staff training and other resources.”

AMS Aircraft is working on a number of business jet transactions including advising the buyer of an Airbus Corporate Jet. It also has CAMO approval for all A330 and A340 aircraft.

“CAMO is very exciting for us. It is another way in which we can support our customers – particularly financial institutions looking to manage returned aircraft,” said Graeme Shanks, head of marketing, AMS Aircraft. “We also see significant benefit for owners who’d benefit greatly from independent oversight of the maintenance of their aircraft.”
