AMAC Aerospace has re-delivered a second Boeing 777-300ER BBJ VIP aircraft to an undisclosed Middle East customer on time and on budget. The work was undertaken and completed in 18 months at the company’s widebody facilities at EuroAirport in Switzerland. The interior spaces include a newly integrated master bedroom, master en-suite, majlis (private seating area) and mid-cabin spaces.

Technical highlights achieved in the completion project include the first installation of the Honeywell Cabin Management System (CMS) ‘Ovation’, Mood lighting in dome ceilings (Red, Green, Blue – RGB), Panasonic KU-Band Global Communication Suite (GCS) system installed with EXPhone as well as other high-end communication installations and in-flight entertainment options.

The customer accepted the aircraft following a successful test flight programme before final handover, which included a smooth return flight to London before heading to its base in the Middle East.

“AMAC Aerospace undertook a new concept in the industry, achieving and realizing the potential of a new communication and cabin management system on board this VVIP aircraft. All the engineers and mechanics worked hard to see this project through and are delighted with the achievement and final results,” said Bernd Schramm, AMAC Group chief operating officer.

“This is our second wide body project to date, again delivered on time and within budget, and AMAC Aerospace aims to continue to grow its intellectual and human capital to master new industry features,” added Schramm.

AMAC Aerospace also recently redelivered an Airbus A340 to a Middle Eastern client and is currently completing a 747-8i also destined for the same region.
