UK’s Affinity Aviation Group CEO wants to avoid brand confusion

Andrew Hoy founded Affinity Aviation Group in 2015.
Andrew Hoy, CEO and founder of UK-based Affinity Aviation Group has issued a statement in an effort to avoid brand confusion following the announcement Universal Aviation is rebranding as Affinity Aviation.
“We are aware that developments in the wider marketplace with similarities in company naming may create potential confusion,” said Hoy.
“We would therefore like to reassure our clients and partners that our business remains independent. Our identity remains unchanged and our commitment to delivering the highest standards of service remains absolute.”
Founded in 2015, Affinity Aviation Group is headquartered at Farnborough Airport in Hampshire, UK and provides aircraft brokerage, management, charter and inspections.
“As our industry continues to evolve, we want to reaffirm something important to our clients, partners and wider network, including media friends. Who we are, what we stand for and the relationships we have built, remain at the heart of everything we do,” said Hoy.
“Affinity Aviation is more than just a name; it reflects the culture and values at the heart of our business. We chose ‘Affinity’ for its meaning of a natural connection or liking, reflecting the sense of belonging we want everyone with Affinity to experience.”
Announced on Monday at NBAA-BACE in Las Vegas, the rebranding from the Universal Aviation to Affinity Aviation will be rolled out in phases across the network, which spans more than 75 locations across more than 20 countries, throughout 2027. The Evans family will continue to own and lead the company.
Greg Evans, managing principal, Evans Family Office said: “Affinity represents where we are taking this business next. We are building on everything that has made this company successful while pushing ourselves to keep getting better. That means continuing to raise the bar on safety and customer experience, investing in our people and operations, strengthening the locations we already serve, developing new capabilities and expanding general aviation infrastructure where our customers need it.”
