Gulfstream Westfield service center earns certificate
Gulfstream Westfield service centre has been awarded a certificate that will allow the facility to maintain aircraft registered in the Cayman Islands
The Gulfstream service centre at Westfield
ha been awarded an approved maintenance organisation (AMO) certificate that
allows the facility to maintain aircraft registered in the Cayman
Islands. The facility supports aircraft in the New
York and Boston
metropolitan areas.
The designation means that
aircraft registered under the Civil Aviation Authority of the Cayman Islands
can undergo maintenance, repairs, alterations and inspection at the Westfield
facility. The aircraft covered by the certificate include all Gulfstream
aircraft except the Gulfstream I turboprop; all Hawker Beechcraft 125 Series
aircraft and the Hawker 4000; Dassault Falcon 10, 50/50EX, 900/900EX and 2000;
and Bombardier Challenger 600/601/604 models.
Gulfstream Westfield is a
certified Federal Aviation Administration and European Aviation Safety Agency
Part 145 repair station, which means Westfield’s
130-plus employees can work on aircraft registered in the United States and European Union
(EU) countries. Gulfstream Westfield also has approvals from the civil
aviation authorities in Bermuda and Aruba.
In 2010, Westfield’s employees serviced 882 aircraft,
405 on road trips and 447 at its 85,000-square-foot facility.
