Jet Aviation marks 30th anniversary of Singapore hub

Jet Aviation is marking the 30th anniversary of its maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and FBO facilities in Singapore with a series of events this month.
The business is bringing together customers, partners, stakeholders and employees to celebrate the pearl anniversary of its Singapore base – the first in Asia-Pacific.
Jeremie Caillet, president, Jet Aviation said he was proud to celebrate the milestone in Singapore. “As a key location for travel in Asia and beyond, as well as an important global hub, Singapore has continued to develop as a centre for the industry in APAC [Asia Pacific],” he said. “This anniversary is not only a celebration of this growth and longevity, but also testament to our commitment as a trusted partner for our customers, and our local government and industry partners,” Caillet added.
The company had continued to invest in sites and services to combine its global expertise with local insight to offer “a seamless customer experience across all aspects of aircraft ownership and operation”, he said.
As part of that investment, Jet Aviation opened FBO services in Changi Airport in 2006, opening a new 5,000sqm maintenance hangar in 2014 and a third 3,850sqm hangar in 2017.
In 2023 the FBO launched on-site sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in partnership with FlyORO. Late last year it achieved IS-BAH Stage 3 accreditation. This year, Jet Aviation Singapore became the third of the company’s sites to join the Airbus Corporate Jets Service Center Network. It is the only service centre network member in Asia-Pacific. The site also underwent a renovation including interior upgrades in the reception, crew lounges, and the addition of 15 new customer offices and meeting rooms.
Louis Leong, vice president, MRO Operations Asia paid tribute to the company’s team of about 300 staff in Singapore, supported by their colleagues across the region. “Their commitment to providing a safe, seamless and personalised service has made us the company we are today, and I would like to thank them, as well as all of our customers and partners in Singapore, for their ongoing support as we look forward to the next decades of success,” he said.
Meanwhile, earlier this month Jet Aviation revealed it had added 22 aircraft to its US aircraft management and charter fleet, with 10 available for charter.
