Embraer delivers 13 executive jets in Q1 2021

Embraer delivered 13 executive jets, including 10 light and three large aircraft, in the first quarter (Q1) of 2021 including a Legacy 450-to-Praetor 500 conversion. The manufacturer today reported its aviation segments’ results for the beginning of the year.

The Brazilian OEM delivered a total of 22 jets in Q1, the other nine being commercial aircraft. The   the order backlog totalled $14.2bn as of March end, down $1.6bn on Q1 2020.

This is down 51% on the previous quarter, Embraer delivered 43 executive jets (23 light and 20 large) in Q4 of 2020. However, this is it up on the same period last year when the firm delivered nine executive jets (five light and four large).

The converted Praetor 500 was delivered to Canadian fractional company, AirSprint Private Aviation. The firm has another Legacy 450 scheduled to convert to a Praetor 500 this year, in addition to the delivery of a brand-new Praetor 500, also expected in 2021.

On the commercial side, Q1 saw KLM Cityhopper, the regional subsidiary of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, received its first E195-E2 jet. Also, Air Peace, Nigeria and West Africas largest airline, took delivery of its first E195-E2 aircraft.
