Company orders four Gobal 7000 and two Global 8000 business aircraft

Bombardier Aerospace has
announced that AVWest of Australia has placed overall firm orders for four
Global 7000 and two Global 8000 ultra long-range jets, two of which were placed
earlier this year. The total value of this overall order is approximately
US$400 million, based on the 2011 list price for typically equipped aircraft.

“The momentum for Global
aircraft remains strong, as the need for long distance travel increases in
correlation with the growth of international commerce,” said Steve Ridolfi, president,
Bombardier Business Aircraft. “The business community requires flexible travel means
to make the most out of executives’ busy agendas. Global aircraft provide the
ideal combination of privacy and in-flight productivity for their passengers
while rapidly linking key long-distance city pairs non-stop. This order is
another superb endorsement of our new Global 7000 and Global 8000 jets, and we’re
delighted that AVWest has once again decided to put their trust into our Global
aircraft family,” he added.

AVWest is a large Australian
corporate jet operator and also owns and operates the Perth Jet Centre,
providing 24-hour ground handling for all types of business aircraft as well as
full FBO and VIP services. Their current fleet of modern aircraft and
helicopters includes a large cabin Challenger 604 aircraft and three Global
Express XRS jets.

“The Global 7000 and Global
8000 aircraft are the perfect addition to our fleet,” said Tim Roberts, principal,
AVWest. “Our customers’ travel needs increasingly require non-stop access to
key destinations around the world. The Global 7000 and Global 8000 jets are the
perfect fit, with range capabilities and a level of comfort that is truly
amazing and unique to Bombardier’s Global business jet family.”
