Farnborough International Aishow starts

TAG Farnborough Airport
welcomes this year’s biennial Farnborough International Airshow, which will
bring an estimated 250,000 visitors and 1,400 exhibitors to Farnborough over
the week.

“We are proud to host the world’s leading airshow,” said TAG Farnborough
Airport chief executive
officer, Brandon O’Reilly.  “As a key event in the global aerospace
calendar, which attracts international media attention, it puts Farnborough on
the map.  We have taken every step to ensure we are fully prepared and can
demonstrate to the world why we are the leading business aviation airport in Europe.”

As part of the seven-day showcase of the latest developments in aerospace,
defence, space and security, the airport plans to officially unveil its new
120,000 sq ft, three-bay hangar on 10 July 2012, the second day of the show.

The airport recently announced a series of improvements to its terminal,
including a new arrivals lounge and ‘crew room’.

Following the airshow, the Olympic Games and Paralympics is set to be a busy
time for TAG Farnborough Airport.

According to O’Reilly, the airport has received a high number of advanced
bookings and is well prepared to meet demand: “We will continue to offer our
customers a high quality bespoke service.  With this week’s airshow and
London 2012 around the corner, we are presented with an excellent opportunity
to showcase our first class facilities.”
