Airport is at ABACE outlining its preparations for London Olympics to customers

TAG Farnborough logoTAG Farnborough Airport is outlining its preparations to serve customers attending the London Olympic Games later this year, at ABACE in Shanghai.

Demand for business aviation in the UK is expected to reach record levels this summer with the Olympic Games, Paralympics, Farnborough International Airshow and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee all taking place during 2012.

To handle increased demand during the Olympic period, arrivals and departures are being formally coordinated at all airports in the south east of England by Airport Coordination Limited (ACL) using a slot allocation system. According to TAG Farnborough Airport chief executive, Brandon O’Reilly, the airport is well prepared and has already received a high number of advanced bookings.

“Thanks to our proximity to London and sole focus on business aviation needs, we are an ideal facility for customers travelling to these events,” O’Reilly said.  “The London Olympics presents an exciting opportunity to demonstrate to the world why we are Europe’s leading business aviation airport.”

As a full service private airport, TAG Farnborough is able to offer a wide range of amenities and services for passengers, crew and aircraft including concierge service, on-site office space and aircraft maintenance.  Passengers are able to drive directly to waiting jets, assuring a discrete and convenient flight experience.

“Our continued investment in cutting edge facilities and services, which are being outlined here at ABACE, reflect our commitment to serve our Asian customers.  At TAG Farnborough we recognise the importance of the Asian markets and are already witnessing growth from this region,” added O’Reilly.
