Synthetic Vision Technology approved for Phenom 300
The Garmin Synthetic Vision Technology has been approved for use in the Phenom 300 executive jet.
The Embraer Phenom 300 executive jet has received the
Brazilian National Civil Aviation Agency (Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil –
ANAC), the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the European
Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certifications for using Garmin’s Synthetic
Vision Technology (SVT). The Phenom 300 is the first in the light jet category
to offer this advanced cockpit feature.
The system works with Traffic Collision Avoidance
System (TCAS) and Traffic Information Service (TIS) creating a 3-D image and
using a colour coded landscape allowing pilots a real time assessment of the
terrain around them.
