Landmek Aviation announced the appointment of Al Petersen as general manager of its Los Angeles International Airport facility.

Al Peterson has recently joined Landmark Aviation as general manager of the Los Angeles International Airport location. Petersen brings with him nearly ten years of experience in the aviation industry.

“The opportunity to associate with a first class company like Landmark is very exciting,” Petersen said. “Being able to work with a professional team like the one at LAX makes this an easy transition.”

Most recently serving as airport and FBO manager at Nantucket Memorial Airport, Petersen also served on the Board of Directors for the National Air Transportation Association and the American Association of Airport Executives and is past president of the Massachusetts Airport Management Association.

Petersen earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Commerce and Economics Industrial Management from the University of Vermont and later went on to receive his Master of Business Administration degree from Pepperdine University.

“Al is well known in our industry, having served on industry boards and committees for many years,” executive vice president of operations Ted Hamilton explained. “We are privileged to have someone of Al’s pedigree on the Landmark team.”

Petersen replaces Carrie Campbell, who now serves as general manager of Landmark Aviation’s San Diego International Airport location.
