Our guide
Private Export Funding Corporation (PEFCO) is a private bank created by the US Treasury and US Ex-Im Bank to help US exporters including aircraft manufacturers.
Cessna, Boeing, General Electric and United Technologies are all shareholders in the bank along with 24 banks and two financial institutions.
Although it lends its own reserves it always relies on a full guarantee from US Ex-Im Bank so only supports US manufacturers exporting aircraft or helicopters.
It has financed exports from Sikorsky to Brazil’s Lide Aviacao, Cessna Grand Caravans to Servicios Aeros Nacionales in El Salvador and Boeing VIP aircraft for Bahran’s Royal Flight.
