Aircraft maintenance expert Buff is an FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate holder with more than 20 years’ experience in aviation maintenance. His CV includes: managing and performing scheduled maintenance, line maintenance checks, troubleshooting, ordering and installing parts, managing crews, and maintaining documentation for FAA compliance.
Mente Group President and CEO Brian Proctor said: “Jamie Buff brings an extraordinary aircraft maintenance skill set to our consulting company. I have been impressed with the professionalism and expertise with which he advises clients and works with our team to broaden its capabilities.”
Buff’s began his aviation maintenance career 25 years ago in the US Air Force as a B-52H Bomber dedicated crew chief. After military service, he joined Cessna Aircraft Company as an airframe and powerplant technician. In addition to the Air Force, he has held aviation maintenance positions for AMB Group, Coca-Cola, Nike, P&G, Wachovia Bank, Cessna, and the US Air Force.
Meanwhile, earlier this month Mente Group’s Vice President of Program Management, Vince Restivo was promoted to the newly-created position of COO, responsible for day-to-day administrative and operational function.
Restivo will continue to report to Proctor, who will focus more on creating long-term strategies for the company and its clients. “Vince’s solid and successful business aviation background with Gulfstream and Hawker Beechcraft as well as his passion for detail and quality will serve Mente Group and our clients exceptionally well,” said Proctor.
