Flight Options gets first Phenom 300

Flight Options has taken delivery of its first Embraer Phenom 300. The US operator plans to take delivery of 100 of the very-light jets over the next 10 years. Flight Options is selling an eighth share of the aircraft for $1.05 million with a $13,000 monthly management fee and a $1,400 hourly rate.

Flight Options has taken delivery of its first Phenom 300 very-light jet from Embraer. The US aircraft operator plans to take delivery of 100 Phenom 300s over the next 10 years.

“We expect that the Phenom 300 will be a true game changer in the fractional market place,” said Mike Silvestro, CEO, of Flight Options. “What makes this aircraft so unique is that not only will it offer best in class cabin comfort, range and baggage capacity, but it will do so while operating at the lowest cost per mile of any light jet. In fact, the all inclusive cost per hour for the Phenom is approximately 25% less then its closest competitor.”

The aircraft will have an iPod docking station and broadband wirelesss internet.

The aircraft operator is launching a tour of the US to sell shares in the aircraft. Flight Options says the aircraft will visit 40 cities including New York, Dallas, Chicago and Las Vegas.

Flight Options placed the order for nearly $1 billion worth of Embraer aircraft in Novermber 2007. The same day that H.I.G Capital completed the acquisition of Flight Options from Raytheon. While H.I.G Capital is still a shareholder in October 2009
