Jet Aviation St Louis starts first BBJ refurbishment
Jet Aviation St Louis facility begins work on its first refurbishment of a Boeing Business Jet.
The Jet Aviation facility in St Louis has begun refurbishing its first Boeing Business Jet, with the second BBJ expected to arrive at the facility this spring.
Both aircraft will have maintenance and minor interior upgrades performed.
The construction of a narrow body hangar and training of technicians resulted in the BBJ projects. Numerous technicians have been sent to Jet Aviation’s sister facility in Basel, Switzerland to gain first-hand experience working on BBJs.
“Jet Aviation St. Louis has been preparing to support BBJ aircraft for a long time,” said Chuck Krugh, senior vice president and general manager, Jet Aviation St. Louis. “It’s exciting to see a BBJ at our facility and to be adding this aircraft to the list of quality airframes served here.”
