Dassault Aviation, manufacturer of Falcon business jets, has announced the appointment of Didier Raynard to replace outgoing Jean-Michel Jacob, who has retired.

Based in Kuala Lumpur, Raynard will oversee all Falcon sales activity in the Asia Pacific region, which encompasses East and Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Rim.

Around 100 Falcon currently operate in the Asia-Pacific, a fleet that is expected to grow with the arrival of the extra-wide cabin Falcon 6X, introduced in late 2023, and the ultra-long range Falcon 10X, currently in development.

In 2024, Dassault’s ExecuJet Malaysia affiliate opened a big new MRO facility at Subang Airport that significantly enhances support throughout the region.

Raynard started his career in the European aerospace industry, coordinating local businesses and offsets in Turkey and then assuming various sales responsibilities for fixed and rotary wing aircraft in Europe, Australia and Southeast Asia.

Raynard joined Dassault in 2008 as Falcon sales manager for Southeast Asia and the Pacific. He has more than 24 years’ experience in the Asia Pacific region.

Raynard is a graduate of France’s ESTACA aerospace and automotive engineering school near Paris and holds a Master’s Degree in International Project Management from Europe’s ESCP Business School.
