FlightSafety International announced that Greg Arend has been promoted to director, Commercial Programs for FlightSafety’s Simulation design, manufacture, and support facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

“Greg is a valued member of our management team and most deserving of this promotion to director, Commercial Programs,” said John Van Maren, vice president, Simulation. “He has the experience, technical skills, and abilities required to develop and deliver solutions that meet the specific requirements of airlines and other commercial organizations that require world class flight training equipment.”

As director, Commercial Programs, Arend will lead the team responsible for the on-time delivery of all new training devices, as well as the relocation and modification of existing equipment.

Prior to joining FlightSafety in 1995, Greg served in the United States Navy as a Weapons and Combat Systems Specialist, and subsequently began a career in flight simulation in 1986.
