AMAC Aerospace gains UAE CAMO approval

AMAC Aerospace has announced that it has been awarded its approval certificate for Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) for its Basel, Switzerland facility from the UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).

AMAC Aerospace has announced that it has been awarded its approval certificate for Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) for its Basel, Switzerland facility from the UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).

“AMAC is committed to exceeding the expectations of an especially demanding clientele and we are proud to be only the second company outside the UAE to be granted such status,” said Bernd Schramm, AMAC Aerospace Group chief operating officer.

The company is expanding into wide-body aircraft maintenance and in September last year gained Part 145 approval for Boeing 747-400 and 747-8 aircraft. The company also opened a third wide-body hangar last year.

AMAC Aerospace engineers can perform all major inspections including repairs and modifications, perform Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Customer Bulletins (CB) Service Bulletins (SB) and Airworthiness directive (AD). In parallel they offer full aircraft interior completion, avionic repairs, system upgrades, entire cabin refurbishments and  other installation undertakings.
