Al Bateen Airport has signed contract with Swiss gategroup

Al Bateen Executive Airport has signed a contract with caterer gategroup.

Under the long term agreement the gategroup’s core business Gate Gourmet will establish an on site kitchen staffed 24 hours a day providing meals.

The venture will be an important development for gategroup and its Middle East partners, Western Group and Sultan International Holdings. The Al Bateen base will be the first operational facility in the Middle East for gategroup.

Al Bateen has handled nearly eight thousand movements in 2010, an increase of 30 percent over the 2009 figures.
