AeroPremier Jet Center opens

New Orleans Lakefront Airport has a newly renovated FBO, AeroPremier opened its doors on 14 February.
The airport was devastated during Hurricane Katrina. AeroPremier has now signed
up with Avfuel and the new facility has hangar that can now accommodate aircraft up to the size of a
Gulfstream V

The fate of the building was at one time uncertain: the former National
Guard helicopter facility sustained critical damage from Katrina. When
AeroPremier successfully bid to operate an FBO at Lakefront Airport
in 2008, FEMA funding was allocated to restore the building for this purpose.
