Airbus Corporate Jets is adding a dash of colour to aircraft interiors with the launch of its ACJ TwoTwenty special cabin edition. The OEM has teamed up with French graffiti artist Cyril Kongo, also known as Mr Colourful, to turn each cabin into “a flying contemporary art gallery”, with original designs for each client.

“We want to preserve the DNA of comfort in the ways customers live on board [the ACJ TwoTwenty],” Benoit Defforge told Corporate Jet Investor at the launch last Thursday (September 23rd) during the Monaco Yacht Show. “But we also need to be innovative in our world and think about the customers of tomorrow – and yes, we want to be disruptive.”

The OEM aims to offer “never-done-before novel ambiance” with Kongo’s hand-painted artwork in the main lounge, branded textures and fabrics. Cabin interiors specialist Comlux will take delivery of the first one early next year with service entry scheduled for early 2023. Comllux will be the exclusive completion partner for the first 15 aircraft.

According to Airbus Corporate Jets: “Cyril Kongo and the ACJ design team took full advantage of the ACJ TwoTwenty’s large fuselage, which is at least two times wider than other business jets, allowing for a spaciously crafted table greeting, potentially serving up to eight guests.”
