London Cranfield Airport has joined The Collection, Weston Aviation’s network of business aviation airports across the UK and Ireland, in a partnership aimed at driving commercial growth and increasing aircraft movements at the Bedfordshire airfield.

Under the agreement, Weston Aviation becomes the airport’s exclusive strategic business aviation partner, providing dedicated business development, charter sales support and marketing representation. The deal also sees the airport formally adopt its new commercial identity as London Cranfield Airport.

“Cranfield has a rich aviation heritage, excellent infrastructure and enormous commercial potential. By combining our business development expertise with Cranfield’s vision, we are creating a partnership focused on long-term, sustainable growth,” said Nick Weston, CEO of Weston Aviation.

“This partnership provides us with the commercial expertise, market reach and collaborative approach needed to accelerate that ambition. We look forward to working closely with Weston Aviation to strengthen our presence within the UK and European business aviation markets,” said Robert Abbott, airport director at London Cranfield Airport.

Situated in the heart of England with a 1,799-metre runway, Cranfield offers business aviation operators an uncongested alternative to busier London airports, with no slot requirements and priority access for business aircraft. For international arrivals, the airport operates remote customs and immigration arrangements, allowing passengers to clear border formalities before landing and proceed within minutes of arrival.

The airport is owned by Cranfield University and is located close to the Oxford-Cambridge Growth Corridor, as well as the site of the planned Universal UK Resort – the first Universal-branded theme park in Europe.

The Collection was created to help independent airports grow through shared marketing, commercial representation and joint business development. Weston Aviation said the programme is continuing to expand across the UK and Ireland.
