UK charter specialist Saxon Air has added an Embraer Legacy 500 to its growing charter fleet.

The 10 seat Legacy 500 was delivered to Stansted Airport on December 21.

The aircraft is the first super midsize jet to be added to the fleet and fits between a single Gulfstream G550 and a pair of midsize Hawker jets.

“The introduction of the Legacy 500 as the technological pinnacle aircraft to our already versatile fleet demonstrates our commitment and ability to deliver the most modern, advanced and luxurious experience for our customers,” said Alex Durand, CEO, SaxonAir.

The company say that the Legacy allows passengers to use airports closer to their destinations thanks to the aircraft’s short field performance.

“Combine this with the aircraft’s ability to fly over 3,000 nautical miles and reach destinations such as Dubai non-stop, the Legacy 500 will facilitate the requirements of practically any business or leisure customer.”

The aircraft is fitted with a fully-equipped wet galley, as well as WiFi, SatPhone and multiple 192 full HD monitors.
