Mountfitchet Risk Solutions is launching a new insurance policy for private jet operators, offering them protection in the event of an ‘Aircraft On Ground’ (AOG).

This new insurance policy aims to limit potential disruptions to a minimum and to help the operator to find a replacement aircraft.

The bespoke AOG Protect policy has been put together by Mountfitchet Risk Solutions in association with Aon Benfield and Swiss Re and covers up to 30% costs in addition to the original value of the charter. It covers everything from mid-flight diversions due to a mechanical problem, to technical issues on the ground and even crew sickness.

“This policy is all about helping private jet operators protect their client relationships.”

Oliver Clarry-Risk, managing director of Mountfitchet Risk Solutions, said: “This policy is all about helping private jet operators protect their client relationships. We can put their minds at ease when it comes to majorly disruptive problems. It will help to cover additional costs for a replacement aircraft to perform the flight, or series of flights, that is affected.”
