Jet Support Services Inc (JSSI) is waiving flight hour fees for its customers who offer flight time on their aircraft as a donation to the Hurricane Harvey relief effort. JSSI will also give $10,000 to the Red Cross, and match every donated flight hour with a dollar-for-dollar contribution.

“The hearts of the entire JSSI family go out to everyone impacted by Hurricane Harvey,” said Neil Book, president and CEO of JSSI. “Business aircraft are truly unique in their ability to reach locations impacted by natural disasters. By waiving these fees, we can make it a little easier for our clients to utilise their business aircraft and provide a lifeline to the people and communities in crisis.”

Owners and operators of aircraft who want to donate can do so through the National Business Aircraft Association’s humanitarian emergency response operator (HERO), or contact their JSSI manager to report relief flight hours.

Hurricane Harvey has been the largest rain event from a single storm in the US, with parts of Texas experiencing more than 50 inches of rain.
