Jet It, the New York-based fractional operator set up by former Honda Aircraft Company pair Glenn Gonzales and Vishal Hiremath, has taken delivery of its first HondaJet Elite.

Gonzales told Corporate Jet Investor in September 2018 that it was planning on adding between eight to 16 aircraft over the next 12 months

“We are incredibly excited to be taking delivery of our first jet after only four months of launch and sales activity. It speaks to the excitement in the market for our company and the need for a service that speaks to the value proposition offered by Jet It.” Said Vishal Hiremath, Jet It founder and president.

Gonzales and Hiremath first came up with the idea behind Jet It after seeing the capabilities of the HondaJet.

Just as with a traditional fractional ownership program, clients buy a percentage share in an aircraft. But with Jet It, owners are guaranteed a number of days using the aircraft, with higher percentage shares guaranteeing a higher number of days usage.

The company said recently that its owners would operate the aircraft at a cost of $1,600 per hour.
