Jet Aviation Singapore gets FAA approval for interior work
Jet Aviation Singapore has received full FAA approval for its new aircraft interior workshop. The FAA approval allows the Singapore facility to certify refurbished interior components or entire cabin interiors of business aircraft.
Jet Aviation Singapore is currently working on a full cabinetry and veneer refurbishment for a Bombardier Challenger 605 and a cabin interior upgrade for a Gulfstream GIV .
In 2014, Jet Aviation Singapore performed a range of retrofit, modification and upgrade services on various aircraft, including full interior refurbishment of a GIV and retrofitting interior components on two 747 VIP aircraft.
John Riggir, vice president and general manager of Jet Aviation Singapore, said: “We’re developing a reputation as a one-stop-shop with our combined maintenance inspection and refurbishment offering, including upholstery and avionics or cabin management system upgrades.”

“Owners of business jets take great pride in the pristine condition of their aircraft, particularly in this region, and this extends to cabin interiors. We have experienced increased demand from the maturing fleet of long-range, large cabin aircraft that are based in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia. We also expect to receive certification from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) later this year which will further support our customers,” added Riggir.
Stefan Benz, vice president of MRO and FBO services in EMEA and Asia, said: “Customers clearly value our combined maintenance and refurbishment service offerings, which is where most of the refurbishment growth has been noted in Singapore. We are delighted to expand our refurbishment capabilities with this FAA approval to meet our clients’ requirements.”
The new Singapore workshop is fitted with equipment for upholstery, wood and veneer finishing and carpeting.
There is also an eco-friendly spray-painting and buffing shop. The company also collaborates with Hawker Pacific to offer a full repaint and interior package on aircraft up to the size of the Gulfstream 650 and the Bombardier Global series.
