Ince & Co has announced that Will Cooper is joining the Aviation Group as partner. He will be based in London and joins the firm at the end of November.

His recruitment is the firm’s second aviation finance hire in recent months and follows that of Laurence Hanley in the Paris office. The firm also announced the recruitment of Anna Anatolitou, an aviation disputes, regulatory and commercial partner and former general counsel of Air Arabia Group, in April 2015.

Cooper trained in the asset finance group at Norton Rose before moving to the Export Credits Guarantee Department (“ECGD”) in June 2008.

“We are committed to growing our transactional capability in our core sectors and Will’s recruitment is further evidence of the progress that we are making against this key strategic objective.”

Jan Heuvels, Ince & Co’s international senior partner said: “We are committed to growing our transactional capability in our core sectors and Will’s recruitment is further evidence of the progress that we are making against this key strategic objective.”

“We are delighted that we have been able to recruit someone of Will’s calibre.”

Gillie Belsham, global head of Aviation added: “We are delighted that we have been able to recruit someone of Will’s calibre. His experience of advising on some of the most innovative finance transactions in the aviation sector further strengthens our offering to new and existing clients. His recruitment is particularly important because many of the first opportunities we get with clients are on the transaction side.”
