ICAO recognises San Marino
The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has given the Republic of San Marino a Council President Certificate to recognise its significant progress.
San Marino launched an aircraft registry in November 2012 and the certificate recognises how it has implemented ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices. The registry was audited in 2015.
“These awards, established by the ICAO Council in support of our ongoing No Country Left Behind initiative, have been developed in order to more publicly acknowledge and encourage States’ commitments and progress in making our global network even safer than it is today,” said Dr. Olumuyiwa Benard Aliu, president of the council.
