Fly Comlux upgrades the interior of its 767 BBJ
Fly Comlux upgrades the interior of its 767 BBJ, adding high-speed Wi-Fi and a newly enhanced In-Flight Entertainment System.
Fly Comlux, the VIP operator of Comlux The Aviation Group, has announced that its 767 BBJ corporate airliner is again available for charter, after a major mandatory maintenance check and significant upgrades to the passenger cabin.
The 767 BBJ aircraft is able to carry large groups and delegations of up to 63 passengers in three different cabin compartments.
Andrea Zanetto, CEO Fly Comlux, said: “Since we started operating our 767 BBJ two years ago, it has proven to be one of our most successful VIP aircraft available for charter. Its great and unique cabin arrangement makes it the perfect aircraft for world leaders including governments and royal families.”
As part of the upgrade package, the cabin has been refreshed and the aircraft has been fitted with a brand new humidification system. It has been updated with a Swift Broadband Satcom for high-speed Wi-Fi internet and the newly enhanced In-Flight Entertainment System enables passengers to watch selected contents through iPads, available onboard, with quick recharging capability through a media trolley.
“With this upgrade programme, we are investing a lot to provide an even more luxurious and modern environment to our VIP passengers. The aircraft is now back in service and the charter sales teams have already secured many booking requests from our customers,” added Zanetto.
Built by Boeing Business Jets, the 767 BBJ is the only widebody aircraft available for charter and was originally outfitted by Comlux America, the Comlux group’s completion centre in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The aircraft is based in Bahrain and flies 500-600 hours a year, typically for head-of-state missions.
