Falcon 8X roll-out

Dassault’s new $55 million Falcon 8X will make its Asia debut later in April. The aircraft will be on display at the ABACE show in Shanghai.

According to the show website, Dassault will display the Falcon 8X alongside a Falcon 2000EX.

Dassault are expecting to complete the certification process for the Falcon 8X during the summer, with deliveries scheduled to begin shortly afterwards.

The company has been typically coy about Falcon 8X customers, although it has said that it will deliver aircraft to India and the Middle East before the end of the year.

With the aircraft certification program nearing completion, Dassault have sent the new tri-jet on a global tour.

Aircraft number three, F-WWQC, has so far visited a number of airports in Europe, including Farnborough, Inverness, and Munich, as well as Teterboro Airport, New Jersey as part of its global tour.

Following a short tour in the US, the Falcon 8X will head to Mexico and Brazil, before making it’s way over to China.

The company say that during the tour the aircraft will be performing demonstration flights for potential customers, as well as ensuring that the production cabin is fully conforming.
