Embraer launches $83m Lineage 1000E Skyacht One with Eddie Sotto

At $83 million, Embraer’s Lineage 1000E Skyacht One, designed by Eddie Sotto, is one of the most expensive private jets on the market.

Embraer has teamed-up with SottoStudios in Los Angeles to launch the Lineage 1000E Skyacht One, a state-of-the-art, super-sized private jet that offers a luxury interior based on the inside of a yacht.

Eddie Sotto said his design was guided by one simple question: “We’ve seen beautiful modern planes, why not go in the other direction?”

Sotto, who previously designed projects for Disneyland and Walt Disney World, was inspired by luxury brands like Bentley and Cartier and their use of vintage materials and painstaking design to tell a story. For the $83 million Skyacht One, Sotto picked the theme of navigation to affect the interior of the aircraft.

The theme runs throughout the 4,085 ft3 cabin, which is decorated with images of compasses and ornate time pieces, and is embodied is everything from the rugs to the ice buckets.

Sotto said he wanted to combine rich, beautiful textures and the craftsmanship of a fine watch with Embraer’s state-of-the-art aviation technology. Please get in touch to let us know if you think he’s succeeded.
