Embraer has opened a $25 million service centre for executive jets at Bertram Luiz Leupolz Airport in Sorocaba, Brazil.

Frederico Fleury Curado, president and CEO of Embraer, said: “This new investment highlights Embraer’s commitment to its customers, the State of São Paulo, and Brazil.”

The new service centre has two hangars, with one dedicated to maintenance, repair and overhaul and the other to support the operation of business aircraft.

The airport at Sorocaba has more than 30 companies based at the airport.

With the inauguration of the Sorocaba facility, Embraer is expanding its network to support the growing fleet of Brazilian executive jets.

There are currently more than 160 Embraer Phenom and Legacy executive jets operating in Brazil.
